Dear Andrei:

	I put your October 26 letter aside because I had just written
you and unfortunately forgot it.  It just came to light when I went
through a stack of papers.  I would have like to take part in the
IFIP panel, but I assume it is too late.  Anyway I am not presently
planning to go to IFIP.  I expect to be in the Soviet Union for the
AI workshop near Leningrad in April.  Unfortunately Vera won't be
able to come, and I won't be able to spend additional time beyond
the meeting, because I will be teaching in the Spring Quarter.

	I have been writing more recently, so here are some papers on
AI and on mathematcal theory of computation.  All of them are almost,
but not quite, ready for publication.

	Please give my best regards to your family, and thanks for
volume 24 which just arrived.
